What is QbCheck?

QbCheck is a computer-based ADHD test that measures the three core symptoms of ADHD:

Inattention
Impulsivity
Hyperactivity

During the test, you will respond to simple visual prompts on your screen while a webcam tracks subtle movements. This allows for a comprehensive and objective evaluation that goes beyond traditional questionnaires alone.

Your results are then compared to individuals of the same age and gender, both with and without ADHD, providing valuable data to support diagnosis and treatment decisions.

How It Works

The process is simple, secure, and completed from the comfort of your home:

A series of symbols will appear on your screen
You will press the spacebar when a specific symbol appears
Your attention and response patterns are measured
A webcam tracks movement to assess activity levels
Results are analyzed and reviewed by your provider

This information is combined with your clinical history and symptoms to create a complete picture of your care needs.

What to Expect

The test itself takes approximately 15–20 minutes, with additional time for setup and questionnaires. It is designed to be challenging on purpose to accurately measure attention and impulse control—there is no “pass or fail.”

Your provider will review your results alongside other clinical information to determine next steps and create a personalized treatment plan if needed.

ADHD Testing FAQs

Will I be recorded during the test? No. The webcam does not record or store video. It only tracks movement patterns during the test. All results are anonymized and handled in accordance with data protection regulations.

I feel like I didn’t perform well—should I be concerned? Not at all. The test is intentionally designed to be challenging. There is no passing or failing—results simply help measure attention, impulsivity, and activity levels to support accurate evaluation.

What if I’m interrupted or have technical issues? If you’re interrupted, you can restart the test at a more convenient time. If technical issues occur, please contact our office and we will assist you.

How long does the test take? The test itself takes about 15–20 minutes, with additional time for setup and completing questionnaires.
